Dodge Charger Quarter-Panel Dent Repair After Dealership Work
When this orange Dodge Charger arrived at Divine Dents Hail and Paintless Dent Repair in Aubrey, Texas, the vehicle had already undergone a dealership repair. However, additional quarter-panel damage remained that the owner wanted us to address.
Rather than redoing the previous repair, our work focused on the remaining damage the owner selected.
Assessing the damage
The quarter panel showed damage that required careful inspection of the metal and its reflection. Using our repair lighting, we could observe the affected area and determine how to approach the repair.
Our goal was to work on the selected damage while respecting the owner’s decision to leave the previous dealership work and other existing distortion untouched.
Working behind the quarter panel
We gained access through the wheel-well area and used specialized tools to work the damaged metal from behind the panel.
Throughout the repair, we alternated between carefully pushing the metal, knocking down raised areas and checking our progress using the reflection of the repair light.
The video includes close-up footage where you can actually see the metal respond to the pressure of the repair tool.
Refining the repair
Removing damage involves more than simply pushing a dent outward. It requires continually checking the panel, identifying raised and low areas, and carefully refining the metal.
Our video documents this process from multiple angles, including close-ups of the work and the finished repair area.
The customer requested work on the remaining damage rather than a complete reworking of the dealership’s previous repair or every area of distortion.
